With ‘iiko’ literally translating to ‘good boy’ (or ‘good girl’), it’s no surprise that this April, the team at Haymarket ramen restaurant IIKO Mazesoba are supporting Pound Paws, a charity dedicated to ensuring all (furry) good boys and good girls find their forever homes.
Until April 29, dog lovers visiting IIKO Mazesoba will be able to purchase several specially-themed doggy treats, with 20% of proceeds going towards the great work of Pound Paws.
These include the Hello Kitty Pup Smash Cake, a dog-friendly carob surprise filled with hidden dog treats, lovingly baked by Munch Bakery.
The Hello Kitty Doggy Bento Box is also sure to get tails wagging, featuring a selection of Japanese-inspired treats, also carefully catered for your pooch by Naked Munch Pets.
Naked Munch is an Australian pet nutrition company, specialising in locally-made pet treats, supplements and enrichment aids that are made 100% natural, human-grade and grain-free.
Inspired to create the treats by her own rescue pup, Tilly, Naked Munch owner Michelle understands the love that an adopted pet can bring to your life. “Tilly really is the love of our lives and it never fails to amaze me and my husband, Shane, the amount of face-licking, cuddle-demanding love that she’s brought into our lives.”
IIKO Mazesoba, Munch Bakery and Naked Munch are excited to suppawt the good work of Pound Paws this April.
General Manager Michelle states “We are beyond exciting to continue this partnership with Pound Paws, to not only raise funds and awareness for homeless pets, but also activate Darling Square and create a fun, friendly environment for diners and their pets.”
“This is our third year hosting this event and we are so proud of the dog loving community we have grown!”
Pound Paws is an Australian based charity founded by Brittany Bloomer that provides a modern online approach to the rehoming of pets in Australian pounds and rescue centres.
They operate via an online search engine that allows users to search for their dream pet in pounds and rescue centres across Australia. Throughout the year, they also hold events to bring rescue groups together and encourage pet adoption in the wider community.
