Ladybug is a sweet but shy girl that is going to need a caring and patient owner. She can be unsure and fearful in new environments and strangle objects so when introducing her to new places go slow and allow her time to adjust in her own time. Ladybug is best suited to a home where she is a mainly indoors dog and she loves to run after toys. Olly has been through some ups and down in the last few years with a family break up and is currently living with Dad who works full time and knows that Olly is lonely. He is such a gorgeous boy who can’t wait for Dad to walk through the door so he’s got his company and lots of cuddles and attention, but its a long day for him on his own. Olly takes the award for the best housetrained dachshund we’ve ever heard of and has never had an accident in the house, not even when he was a puppy. Unfortunately Olly’s spine was operated on by Southpaws a couple of months ago and he has now completely recovered. On his last veterinary check the hospital gave him the all clear and no longer need to see him. The physios have also given him the all clear. Olly loves going for walks and frequently goes in the car for long trips to see his grandparents so he has no issues travelling. One of his favourite pastimes is chasing water bottles around the garden and he does like to disembowel squeaky toys, as these naughty dachshunds do! He would love to find a new home with another dachshund for company and either with a couple or older family who are mostly around during the day so he has their company. He is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. Only 8 months old. Please contact Sharman on 0412 619 266 firstname.lastname@example.org

Scamp is a young at heart 10 years old Tenterfield Terrier X who came into care after being rescued from being confined in a bird enclosure along with his partner Charlotte for an unknown period of time. Scamp’s partner has found a loving home but sadly Scamp was kept in foster care as he was having severe seizures from the time he was rescued. Scamp has now been seizure free for just over three months and is ready to find his own loving home where he can be a part of the family. It is essential that Scamp finds a committed family who will ensure he continues to take his anti - seizure medication twice daily and also be on the lookout for any further seizure activity and seek veterinary care as required. Scamp has always had another small canine friend in his life so it is essential his adoptive family has another small, suitable doggie companion that Scamp can spend his life with. He is a friendly little man who loves being patted and fussed over by his human family; something he appears to have missed out in his previous life. Scamp occasionally joins in a little game of wrestle or chase with the other foster dogs, especially the ones that he has formed a strong connection with…. Usually the girls, as he is a bit of a lady’s man! Scamp’s other interests include going for walks, sleeping, cuddles and food. Oh boy, he loves his food! It is very important though that he does not over indulge as he is prone to gaining weight easily. Scamp is an all round sweet little man who has an easy care coat; he usually settles well in the car on drives and doesn’t bark excessively. He is housetrained also. Scamp has an abundance of love to give and seeks very little in return but the same. If you can give this dear little dog a loving, forever home for the first time in his life, he is waiting to meet you at Metford, NSW; Date of Birth: 09/10/2005
Hi I’m Juke, a fun and playful little 5 month old bundle of cattle dog energy! I love other dogs and am looking for a home with a play mate for company. I'm currently in foster with a bigger brother & sister who I love to annoy and sometimes they even love to chase me back. I am very smart and know my basic commands, every day I am becoming more confident with new noises and strangers, after all I am only a pup and still learning & growing. I like to be indoors with you as I just love being as close as possible any chance I get. I am an active boy, so perfect for a family who will keep me busy with plenty of action & adventure, continue my training, and provide lots of enrichment. I am a clever boy so you will have fun teaching me new tricks! If you're ready to meet me, please contact by email today to apply.

Molly loves belly rubs, playing with toys (she likes the chasey game rather than fetch!). She loves her toy bone and just really enjoys your company. Molly would be more than happy as the only dog at home, or may suit a male dog pending introduction. She can be nervous of new people at first, though is incredibly loyal and loving; she just wants to be where you are & would love an owner who is retired or home often to spend time with her. If you\'d like to meet Molly, please contact us by email to apply.
***INDOOR ONLY KITTIES *** ***BONDED PAIR*** Inca & Xanadu aren't siblings, but they are very much a bonded pair. Inca was born 11.02.15 and Xanadu 10.07.16. Poor Xanadu had a really rough start adn then, after he came to us, his mum rejected him. She's been traumatized by tom cats and didn't want anything to do with her kitten. Xanadu kept approaching her for affection but she just whacked him :-( Then we moved Xanadu to live with another carer who had just rescued Inca. Inca took a shine to Xanadu and took him under his wing, giving him all the love he had craved from his mum. They are inseparable now, so we will never tear them apart. They are both very gentle, quiet and sweet natured cats. It has taken us a while to gain their trust, and you should allow 3-6 months before both of them settle and become relaxed around you. Both of them are flighty and easily startled, particularly by shouting or running, so they would be best suited to a quiet home. Ideally they could have access to a human-free space like a spare room or outside enclosure for them to retreat to when they get startled or guests visit. You can tell that they’ve had a hard start to life; they are both very easily contented with regular meals and a safe place to sleep. They will entertain you all day with their frequent play fights and adorable grooming sessions. There will certainly be work for their new owners to gain their trust, but it’s an amazing feeling when you do and they join you on the sofa for a cuddle or sleep on the bed with you through the night. Their vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. Meet and greet in Mareeba. BIN0000171254640 Adoption fee is $200 for the pair.
Dilys was born 21.12.14 and was unfortunate enough to find herself impounded and abandoned. Dilys is the sweetest most gentle young lady. She is never a problem, never demanding and very polite. She had a very sad start to life so is taking a little longer than some to trust. She is a talkative young lady and very affectionate, always ready for a cuddle but on her own terms as she is hand shy and does not like to be picked up. She tends to like her solitary time, preferably in a sunny spot but has no problem with the other cats in the house. Dilys would be ideal in a single pet family where she could be given lots of individual attention but would also fit into a household with one other cat. Her adoption fee is $150 which includes desexing, micro chip, vaccination, flea and worm treatment. Meet and greet in Malanda. ***INDOOR ONLY KITTY***

These two piggies are still young and weary, they are quick on their feet but once you get them in your arms they decide that cuddles, chin rubs and head scratches aren't so bad after all. ***INDOOR ONLY KITTY *** Twiggy was born 23.10.16. As her name suggests, she is a slim and elegant model kitty with a beautiful personality and captivating eyes. Twiggy was taken to a vet clinic to scan for a chip. Because she didn't have one, the lovely staff at the clinic, who were all in love with her, left her with us to do her stray time. Sadly no one claimed her as their own, but that's OK. We can help her find a new forever home. Twiggy is very sweet, although she might take a while to get used to other animals, but when she does, she'll make a lovely companion. Twiggy is playful and happy and her markings are brilliant. Meet Mimco and Lulu. The most beautiful duo you ever did see. They enjoy taking naps next to each other, fruit treats and cuddles that make them feel secure. These beautiful buns have been through a lot. They would suit a home that would allow them to be free range inside bunnies (theyre litter trained!) or somewhere with lots and lots of supervised grass time outside as being in a hutch stresses them out. I love everyone Abby is one of a kind! She multitasks and is always on the go. Never a dull moments when Abby is about! Still in her 'puppy energy', Abby is a strong pup that will make the best companion to a person or family that likes to run for fitness or pleasure. Very given to humans, Abby would be best suited to never deal with a dog park situation although she is fine with selected doggie friends after a proper introduction. We advise no children for Abby as her strength and energy may get a little one to fall over. If the children are used to power dogs, then the more she has to love. Abby is very responsive to training if given the proper yummy bribe :) Now we have made her understand that a cuddle is just as nice. Still ways to go but she is on the right track. She will love an outdoorsy family that will include her in their adventures. Part time workers would suit her needs best and, have we mentioned how loving she is?! Ready to meet this life force?! Text Di on 0415709098 to organise to meet her.

Hi, I’m Maggie and my personality more than makes up for my petite size! I’m a bit of a princess who loves being the center of attention, so a family without other pets would be best so that you can lavish me with love, cuddles, and don’t forget all my favourite treats! I’m not used to the hustle and bustle of the city, so a home in the suburbs would suit me far better. Little humans are okay though – more love for me! Can you spoil a little princess like me? Name AMY Desexed: Yes Gender: Female Vaccinated: Yes Breed: Domestic Short Hair Micro chipped: Yes DOB: March 2015 FeLV/FIV Tested: Yes and negative Colour: Tabby Location: Mt Druitt NSW Adoption fee: $100 Description My name is Amy, my foster mum has been loving me since I was just 5 weeks old. I\'m now 3 years old and after watching my 4 litter mates find their forever homes I find myself dreaming of the day where I will find someone to love me forever and beyond as well. My foster mum says she does not understand why no one has picked me yet but she also says that all good things come to those who wait. \\ I\'ve proven to be gentle and affectionate, not a mean bone in my body. I get along well with the other cats and the dogs and I\'m no trouble at all. I just know that my forever home is out there somewhere. Mum has always kept me safe inside with access to the outdoor enclosure, I really like to lay in the hammocks in the sun or in the grass under the logs but I can also be found snuggled up on a bed inside with one of my foster mates. We would prefer a home that can keep me indoors where I will be safe. I would like the company of another friendly cat but I think I would also do well on the lap of someone who had the time to spend with me. Mum has had all my vetwork done , the desexing, vaccinations and micro chipping as well as having me tested for FeLV and FIV to which I am negative. For inquiries or to apply to adopt please call or text Sue-Anne on 0423108466, email or apply at www.butterflywingsanimalrescue.org
Name CARLY Desexed: Yes Gender: Female Vaccinated: Yes Breed: Domestic Short Hair Micro chipped: Yes DOB: April 2016 FeLV/FIV Tested: Yes and negative Colour: Blue and White Location: Mt Druitt NSW Adoption fee: $100 Description Carly My name is Carly and I've been in foster care since I was just 5 weeks old. My foster mum took my 4 litter mates and myself into care nearly 2 years ago, we were so scared of everyone and everything. I remember we would all hiss and spit when mum would feed and care for us but she never gave up on any of us and in time we learnt to trust humans again. 3 of my litter mates have since found their forever homes and it is just Zach and I who are still waiting for the right home to come along. I would like to stay with my brother Zach if possible as he still needs me. He is very affectionate and will throw himself on his back for a belly rub, he's great at head butts too but he does get very scared when people pick him up. Me on the other hand, I love my cuddles and like Zach I will throw myself on my back for a good long belly rub also. Mum has told me a few times that I tend to go a little over board with the affection, I just cant help myself and need to show my people just how much I love them. I really like to meet new people and I'm usually the 1st one to introduce myself, I can be a bit of a social butterfly. I really enjoy the company of other cats and love my doggy companions too. Mum has kept Zach and I indoors in the safety of our foster home but we have had access to an outdoor enclosure, neither of us like to be outside in open spaces, we prefer to be inside where it is safe. Mum made sure our vetwork was done long ago, Zach and I are both desexed, vaccinated and micro chipped and we have been tested for FeLV and FIV and are both negative. For inquiries or to apply to adopt please call or text Sue-Anne on 0423108466, email or apply at www.butterflywingsanimalrescue.org

He enjoys going on walks but does tend to pull on the lead and barks when other dogs approach. Jimmy is a very easy going dachshund who loves people and is very laid back. Jimmy would be most suited being an only pet in the home. Jimmy’s favourite place in the world is being near his humans and so would prefer a family who will be home majority of the day. Jimmy is up to date with his vaccinations and de sexed. Adoption fee: $450
*** BONDED PAIR *** ***INDOOR ONLY KITTIES *** Gloria (the black and white kitty) and Gerrad her tabby brother, were born approximately 15.11.17. These two babies were rescued by Southside Vets and are totally together. These kittens are just adorable. They\\\'re Potty trained and their playfulness is a delight to watch. When they crash, its time for bonding and snuggles. Very loving and with good manners , they love watching the rain outside the windows together, but they don\\\'t bolt for the door when open. They are both quite happy being inside pampered fur babies. Because they grew up with Mitsy the puppy, who outgrew them, they are very good with dogs. They\\\'ve been well socialized and would be great with a young family who knows a bit about having kittens in the house and how to treat them. All their vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. Meet and greet in Cairns. If you\\\'d like to know more about adopting this cuties, please message the page or email firstname.lastname@example.org. BIN0000171254640 Adoption fee is $200 for the pair
Hi there! My name’s Bluebell and I’m petite, and charming little girl with plenty of personality. I know I’ve been winning the hearts lots of volunteers here at GR HQ! I’m a little bit shy about this big wide world so I’d do best in a quieter neighbourhood, and if you have another doggie friend to help show me the ropes and give me a bit of courage, I’d really like that. If you’re a sweet girl like me, get in touch at email@example.com
Name BAMBI Desexed: Yes Gender: Female Vaccinated: Yes Breed: Domestic Short Hair Micro chipped: Yes DOB: 2012 FeLV/FIV Tested: Yes and negative Colour: Blue torty Location: Guildford West NSW Adoption fee: $100 Description Hi there, my name is Bambi and I'm looking for my forever home. Id like to tell you a little about me if I may. A couple of years ago sadly I found myself surrendered to the pound after my owner could not afford to pay for the dental I so desperately needed. My mouth was so sore that I had trouble eating and started to lose weight, things were looking dim for me and I did not know what my future held but thankfully a lady from Butterfly Wings Animal Rescue agreed to help me and rescued me from the pound, she arranged for me to have a dental done straight away. I did loose all my teeth but that is ok as now I have no pain and it has not stopped me from eating at all and I do love my food! I'm living with my foster family in Guildford West and I have a foster friend here to play with as well. I do enjoy the company of another cat but sometimes I find it hard to get along with others. Cleo is understanding of that as she is similar to me but we respect each others space yet still find time in between naps and eating to play a little as well :) I don't mind dogs but I'm happier when they show no interest in me, I don't really like it when they get all up in my face. I'm most happy when I can share my carers lap and love to share her bed as well. I have proven myself to be very loving and affectionate. My foster mum tells me all the time that my forever home will come my way soon, I really hope so because whilst I'm happy with my foster family I do look forward to the day where I can finally relax and be care free in my forever home with my forever family. The kind lady who rescued me from the pound made sure that I was desexed, vaccinated and micro chipped. My foster mum makes sure that I'm always parasite free too. For inquiries or to apply to adopt please call or text Sue-Anne on 0423108466, email or apply at www.butterflywingsanimalrescue.org

Incredibly playful, she also loves to curl up in your lap or between your knees when she’s ready for a snooze. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry. We will then organise a time for you to meet with the foster carer and the pet you are interested in adopting. Maggie's wants this to be a good experience for you, and we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog as your situation may not meet the needs of the individual pet. All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of this period we will transfer the microchip to your details and the adoption is complete. Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting.

But be aware he will go straight to the door to escape if you're not very careful to check where he is when you open it. He's gettign used to being an indoor only kitty and is good with his litter tray now. All his vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. ***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Camelot was born approximately 12.11.16. She was surrendered to the pound with seven babies in tow and offered up for rehoming. Camelot has been the very best mumma cat ever and is still caring for her last little kitten. Unlike most torties, Camelot seems so grateful for being rescued that she can't give you enough love and affection. She adores smooches and enjoys being picked up and carried about. Not a sign of that naughty torti reputation. She is such a delight to have around. Meet Jerry! Jerry is a handsome gentleman who was surrendered to the RSPCA through no fault of his own. Jerry has only been at the shelter a short time but has stolen the hearts of the staff, he can’t wait to find his new forever home and a family that’ll love him absolutely! When Jerry was surrendered to the RSPCA he wasn’t alone. His long-time companion Jemima was surrendered with him and he just loves her company dearly. It’s always a big task taking on two new dogs, but if there is a family out there that’s looking for two little cuties to make their family whole then these two would love to be together forever. Jerry had no interest in other dogs while here at the shelter and would much prefer to go to a home where he is the only dog or with his friend Jemima. He loves his daily strolls around the neighbourhood, having regular grooming sessions and just be included in the family’s day to day life. Jerry would also love to have his own spot inside close to his family where he will be able soak up all their love and attention. If you think Jerry is the missing piece to your family, then please head on down to have an introduction with him today. Jerry and Jemima can’t wait to be your family members. -Bonded Pair: Must go home with Jemima 089 1412. -Must be only dogs. -STV: Dental (r/c 8.4.19

What’s better than one greyhound? Well, it’s two greyhounds of course! Hi there, we’re Cookie and Brandi. We’re the best of friends so we’re looking for a home together. Together, we make quite the dynamic duo and have a real zest for life. If our vibrant personalities don’t win you over, then our love for cuddles will – we just can’t get enough! We would love a home with loads of toys to play with and maybe a backyard to stretch my legs or do a zoomie or two. We get on well with other big dogs, but those smaller fluffy kinds get us a bit excited, so maybe none of those at your place, please. Otherwise, we’re really looking forward to finding our forever home! Think you have room for a dynamic duo like us? Get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org DOB: Cookie 23.09.2011, Brandi 12.10.2012 Located in: Sydney Desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and treated Adoption cost: $600 for the pair Cats: Not cat tested Other Dogs: Not small dog friendly Children: Over 8’s
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY *** Tammy was born 04.06.16 and was rescued from Tolga Pound when her owner couldn't be found. Tammy is such a darling kitty who is most unusually sweet natured for a torti. She is not at all shy and loves all the attention she can get. Tammy would fit into a family with any number of kids, cats and dogs as she seems to be happy just to be safe and loved. All her vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. Meet and greet in Millaa Millaa.
Hi there, My name is Baxter and I came to the RSPCA through no fault of my own and I am finally on the look out for my forever home! Could this be with you? I am a charismatic and energetic little dog who would be best suited to an active family that can dedicate lots of time to playing fetch in the backyard or going for at least one walk a day maybe even two if I am lucky. I would love a family that will include me in their everyday activities whether that be going to the park to watch the kids play soccer or going for a nice hike through the bush. I am still young and need some work on my manners so it would be great if my new family could continue my training so that I learn more tricks such as ‘down’ ‘shake’ etc. I prefer having my human friends all to myself so this is why I must be an only dog. I know there will be times when you have to leave me alone at home and that’s ok! Just make sure you leave me with lots of things to do such as toys, a kong or maybe a pigs ear and I will do my best not to miss you too much while you are gone. If you think that Baxter would fit in well with your family please bring them all in to meet him! Level 2 adoption -Must be only dog -Active household -Ongoing training -No cats or pocket pets *Dental waiver
Allow us to introduce you to Sammy... get ready to fall in love. Not only is Sammy incredibly beautiful on the outside he is also beautiful on the inside. Sammy has a heart of pure gold with a gentle and sensitive soul. Sammy has really landed on his paws in foster care and although he was a little unsure of new people initially he is slowly learning that people are not something to be worried about. If you are patient and offer him yummy treats he wants to be your best friend for life. He'll happily cuddle up with you for hours, offering kisses in exchange for tummy rubs! If you want to get up though, he'll want to follow you to check where you're going - he'd make a perfect home office assistant. Sammy would be an ideal running companion - he has a lot of energy and loves running around. Sammy also LOVES to play - tug of war or catch are his favourites! Sammy's new humans will needs to give him two walks a day, at least one long walk (the beach is one of his favourite places), and be happy to play ball with him daily to get rid of all of his excess energy. Really, Sammy just needs someone who understands that learning new things take time and with a consistent and gentle approach Sammy will blossom into the best dog he can be! Sammy loves spending time with people and therefore can get a little worried when left alone. He will need a home where his humans are around more often than not. His confidence when alone is improving but his family will need to continue to gradually build on this overtime. He is well trained and would benefit from further training to reinforce a few of the basics like sit, stay etc. He also has a number of attention seeking behaviours (e.g. digging, chewing his lead), which are getting better, so would need just a little extra training on this too. He needs to either go to an adult only home or a family with older children as he finds how energetic younger children can be a bit scary. Sammy would happily be the only dog or live with another dog - he's extremely gentle, but does love to play, so the other dog would need to be of a similar nature.

My Ideal Home: Lotus will need to have a family that is committed to her ongoing training and socialisation so that she grows up to be a sweet well mannered girl. Her new family will need to sign a desexing agreement which stipulates she will be desexed by a HAR Vet when she is 5mths old. Dhama is her mum's clone even down to her gorgeous temperament. Jessica is a vivacious and friendly girl who unfortunately didn't have the best start in life. Born with a severe cleft palate, the roof of Jess's mouth was almost non-existent with a hole extending from behind her front teeth all the way through to her soft palate at the back. This meant that food and water could readily pass from her mouth to her nasal cavity, not only making it very difficult for her to eat and drink, but also posing significant risk; Jess could aspirate food/water (breathe it in to her lungs) or develop a life-threatening infection. Under normal circumstances a pup born with a cleft palate would be operated on when quite young and so the soft tissues would form in the right place as the puppy grows. This was not the case for Jess, she miraculously survived largely unattended in a paddock. When Jess came into the care of Greyhound Rescue a fundraiser was launched to get surgery for her in an attempt to allow her to live a normal life. The task was a very complex one, vets had never seen such a severe cleft palate problem and certainly not in a dog who was fully grown, which added to the difficulty. Jess has had three surgeries, and while there was some degree of success and her soft palate is repaired, her hard palate was unable to knit together completely. While her quality of life is greatly improved and her risk is significantly lower, this will be an ongoing presence in her life. Any potential adopters will need to be aware that Jessica needs to strictly follow a diet made up of foods that reduce the risk of aspiration or lodging in her sinuses, mainly larger pieces of meat and veg as well as large biscuit or kibble. She needs to be supervised while eating and her fluid intake needs monitoring. Due to this she is not suited to a home with younger children who may inadvertently endanger her by feeding her inappropriate foods. At times, her sinuses may need to be flushed. She is a sweet and affectionate girl who is quite playful and very much deserving of a forever home. Jessica will be a part of our Sanctuary Dog program at Greyhound Rescue, which means that any medical bills associated with her pre-existing condition will be covered by GR for life. She is currently in foster care.
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Candice was born approximately 31.10.15. She was impounded and offered up for rehoming. Candice is a gorgeous calico torti with light green eyes. Like most torties, she has a bit of attitude but, on the whole, is a very pleasant girl. She likes attention and will come to you for a pat and to say hello. If her rights are respected, she will be a wonderful companion cat that's also beautiful to look at. Just remember that she will let you (and your resident cats and dogs) know if you've overstepped her boundaries. Let's be honest, aren't most cats like that and, isn't that what we love about them so much ? All her vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment and she has been tested FIV negative. Meet and greet in Millaa Millaa. If you'd like to know more about adopting this cutie, please message the page or email firstname.lastname@example.org
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY *** Regalo was born 16.02.17. Regalo is Italian for "present" and this boy was "gifted" to us to rehome because he is a bird killer. Well nto anymore because he's adapted very well to being an indoor only kitty. Regalo is very keen to get all the attention from his humans, so he can be a bit feisty with other cats although he doesn't want to fight with them, just wants them to let him be in the center. He's a lovely boy and will be a beautiful gift for his new family members. His coat is long, but doesn't shed much and is beautiful to touch. All his vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. He has been FIV tested and is negative. Meet and greet in Millaa Millaa.

***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Baxter was born 22.12.17. He and his little sister were abandoned when they were only a few weeks old and so tiny. They were saved and taken to Southside Vets and have been raised here in Millaa ever since. Baxter adores his humans, and purrs the moment you touch him. Being hand raised, he has no fear of humans or being picked up but, now that he\\\'s older, he is so full of energy and curiosity that you can\\\'t hold him for too long before he\\\'s off on some new adventure. He\\\'s clever too and quickly works out the lay of the land so to speak. ***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Tic Tac was born 12.06.16. Tic Tac has raised her babies and is ready to retire into her own family home. She does spend a lot of her day sleeping on the couch or high up on the scratching post and would prefer to be the only cat in the household so she can rule the roost, but she might accept a canine who lives outside. Tic Tac has a lovely nature. She doesn’t seek affection but is always happy to receive it when given. Mama (as we call her) doesn’t sleep on your bed but will sleep in your room if the door is opened. Mama would not be suited to a household with young children as she gets stressed when kids are being loud and in her face. All her vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. Meet and greet in Atherton.
Mumbles I am a mummy cat. I was rescued with my babies. I love my babies but they annoy me and I mumble at them. I have just started to trust my hoomans and let them pat me. I have decided this is a nice thing and I like it. I'm very quiet and keep to myself, but I silently follow my foster mum around the house. I sleep on a chair at the end of the bed, it has a nice blanket on it. I'm not very sure about visitors in my house yet so I hide. But I'm getting much better. Mumbles is located in Pakenham. Microchip number: 900141000018574
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Tori was born 18.01.17. Tori has had an incredibly rough and sad start to her life, including the miscarriage of her litter of kittens. It took her foster carers a long time to win her trust over, but finally Tori is content with and, seeking affection from her humans. Tori would be best suited to a very quiet family with no children who don’t want a “lap cat”. Tori enjoys sleeping on your bed but does not go out of her way for other forms of affection. Tori is a friendly cat who is easy to bath and travels well. She does not like dogs and has terrible social skills with other cats which often leads to them fighting. Tori’s story is truly heartbreaking and this young girl deserves an amazing home and family to call her own. All her vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. Meet and greet in Atherton.
Hi I’m Betty and I’m Pet of the Week! I’m a petite little girl who’s light on her toes and heavy on the smooching. All you will want to do is love me – yep, that I can be sure of! I am great with kiddies and small doggies, but I’m really mostly interested in people – I mean, that’s where the cuddles are, right? I’m best suited to a home where someone is home much of the time. Maybe you’ve retired or you work from home? Whatever your situation, it’ll be better with me in it! I’m just an all-round sweet and affectionate girl with plenty of love to give… and if you have a nice spot on the couch for me, I wouldn’t say no to that either! What do you say? If you’re ready to get smooches from a sweet girl like me get in touch at email@example.com!
Hi I'm Apollo! When I was a pup I lived with a man who wasn't very nice to me, and then he left me in a pound. I was so happy when I heard the girls at Waggin Tails were breaking me out! Now I have learnt that I can love people and that they love me too. I'm super happy in my foster home but would love to find a home of my very own! I loooove walks, although I do try and drag the humans along with me as they don't walk fast enough! My foster mum is teaching me how to walk a bit slowing! Sometimes when I'm bored I like to find ways to escape the backyard, but its just because I'm bored and I just want walks and lots of playing and then I will happily lay in the backyard and sunbake. Foster mum says I've been really good because I haven't escaped for 2 weeks now! I love spending time inside cuddling. I just love being around people. My foster mum said I can be a bit boisterous sometimes... I don't know what she means! Sometimes I don't like other male dogs, but I am learning that they can be okay. I would love to meet you!
Hi, I’m Mort – short for Morticia. I’m definitely not kooky or spooky – well, maybe a wee little bit kooky – but that’s part of greyhound charm! I’m a sweet and friendly girl, I’m good with other dogs no matter their size and little humans too. I can get a little bit nervous when I’m on my own, so I’d love a home where I have company most of the time. Maybe you’re retired or work from home? That would be just perfect! A doggy companion would help me a lot too so I’d love it if you had a furry friend for me. Looking for a sweet friend like me? Get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org
I'm tremendously shy and looking for a home where I can be given space and time to grow out of my shell. I need someone who is experienced, loves cats, will treat me as a long term project and not be offended if I hiss at them every now and then. I love it when my foster mum plays with me under the couch, teasing me with the feather or mouse on a string. To say thanks, I send her blinks. When my foster mum is working from home, I'm now brave enough to observe from a distance. Please come and meet me if your up for the challenge. I do get along with my very friendly foster brother, so would like it if you have friendly fur children too. Microchip number: 900141000017926
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Clarissa was born 18.05.16. Does everyone remember this tiny little mum and her 8 kittens surrendered to the pound ? We wondered how she managed to raise so many kittens because she was very tiny, thin and frail. But lots of TLC and good food made her strong and she never once looked like giving up on her kits. In fact she demanded to be allowed to feed them all even when she was unwell. What a little trooper. Clarissa is a very affectionate girl although a little food obsessed . . but who could blame her for that. At first she hated the dogs, but since her babies have grown up and left home, she's come to tolerate them. She's great with other cats and shows no signs of aggression towards all ages. She has a funny little face with a slight overshot jaw but the most amazing big yellow eyes and she's not one to look away in fear when you look straight into them. Anyone looking for a talkative, interactive, smoochy black cat will just love this young mum. All her vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, flea and worm treatment and she has tested negative to FIV. In foster care in Millaa Milllaa. Breed: Tenterfield x JRT? Age: About 4 years old Sex: Female Size: small (big small) Location: Cessnock Adoption Fee: $350 Number: 19112 All About Me and My Unique Personality: My foster parents don't know what happened to me in the past, but the fact is I am an extremely shy little girl. I don't have any fearful aggression - instead I just freeze and let the humans do whatever, even pick me up. I do desperately want to trust and am bonding well with my foster mum - she is like my safe heaven for now. My Ideal Home: I need a home where I am loved and am treated as a member of the family. Ideally, my new family has experience with shy dogs, or has enough patience and love to give me and help me come out of my shell. It would be great if someone was home majority of the time to keep me company. Secure fencing is a must as due to my separation anxiety I tried to dig under the fence to get to my foster mum when she went out. What is Known About My Background: She came into the pound as a stray. How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: I was very scared when I was introduced to my foster brothers and sisters (3 other dogs and a cat), so when they got right in my face I was growling at them, but once their initial excitement settled down and I realised they aren't going to harm me I was fine. For now I mainly focus on the one human in the family and pay little attention to the other habitants of the house :)

Introducing Sally - foster care required urgently! Sally is a female and roughly 2 years old. Sally is being rehomed through no fault of her own but through a terrible turn of events for her owner. Sally is still very much a pup and has pup like behaviors. For example, she can be boisterous and gets over excited (but she does calm down). Sally loves to chew, like many pups do, and will destroy her toys. To date, the only items that Sally has destroyed are her own toys. Sally loves to lay on the couch and be everywhere with her human. Sally will sit at your feet and just really want to be with you. Sally loves attention and affection and will demand it if she doesn't get it! . Sally can be left on her own while you go to work and does behave herself. Sally is dog reactive and cat reactive however please keep in mind that Sally has no formal training under her belt nor has she been socialised so there is potential for change. Sally can pull on lead however once again this can be corrected with formal training. Sally is fine with older children however due to boisterousness could easily knock over little children unintentional. Sally does listen and does know basic commands. Sally does have a lot of potential and we are looking for a foster that lives in the southern suburbs, does not have any other animals nor small children. Sally does have a lovely personality and will also be up for adoption.
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Velda was born 19.03.18. She is a fun, confident, friendly kitten who is happy to play with the resident cats and the human kids. Happy to be carried about the house but gets bored with just being on your lap if you’re not being interesting. All her vetwork is done which includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, worm & flea treatment. If you'd like to know more about adopting this gorgeous girl, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Beautiful wild born orphan Lyra is ready for her forever home. Lyra is an energetic little girl who loves to run and play, and run and run.....and run! While she loves playing with all her toys, Lyra is happiest when she’s racing and tumbling around with her older foster brother Didgey. Like most dingoes Lyra is a determined little girl and a quick learner. Although still timid around people, Lyra is a gentle sweetheart and her curious nature keeps her from holding back for too long. Lyra would thrive in a household that has another playful canine companion with someone who can fulfill her curiosity needs with plenty of exciting adventures. Lyra will need someone that can provide her with lots of stimulation and socialist to make sure she grows into a healthy, well rounded, confident young dingo.

Hi, I’m Ducky and I do have a bit of a ‘tail’ of woe to tell you – unfortunately I’ve lost most of my tail but I can also tell you that; for what tail I’ve got left, I wag it extra hard… in fact my whole backside wags when I’m happy! I’m an all-around cheerful and fun-loving guy and I’m always keen to spend time with people, I just love the attention. Being such a happy chappy, I wouldn’t mind having another doggo friend for a bit of company – as long as they can wag their tail as much as I do!

***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Sushi was born 12.06.17 and she and her little sister were rescued and transported to us by a very caring local laws officer from Charters Towers Council. They came to us as orphans and Sushi nurtured her tiny sister until she was out of the woods. Sushi is the most adorable of kitties. She is quick to make friends with new animals in the house and plays until she drops. Then she'll seek out her human friends purring and kneading until she is ready to sleep. Her coat is adorably soft and silky to touch and Sushi is one of those rare confident cats who will make eye contact with you and hold your attention as long as she likes. Sushi is in foster care in Atherton. If you'd like to know more about adopting this beautiful girl, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi I'm Zues! I was rescued from Death Row by Waggin Tails almost 2 weeks ago now! I am so happy I get to keep living my life and get to look for my forever home! I love other dogs, I'm good with kids and I love going on lots of adventures. Sometimes I can try and escape, as I just love adventures so so much! Foster mum says I need a new home with tall fences. I would love a new family who would take me on lots of walks, to meet other dogs and humans and to play lots of fun games with me. Do I sound like your kind of best friend? I hope I do because I'd love to meet you!
Calm, collected and independent, Scruffy is tolerant of other dogs but would really thrive and flourish in a home where she can be cherished as the one-and-only pet. She'll sometimes do a 'happy dance' on her hind legs when something excites her! She adores getting out and about in the world, but mostly for the fun of it – she doesn’t need a great deal of exercise. Incredibly loyal, Scruffy's favourite thing ever is the company of her special human. Could that be you? **We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-dogs. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.** MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be quiet and stable, with not too much activity and no young children, please. I can't wait to meet a lovely person, couple or older family who'll take the time and understanding to build a relationship with me, at my pace. I don't need much space at all, so apartment living would suit me just fine - as long as I'm taken on a short, leashed walk each day. I love cuddles, comfy sofas and lying in the sun! MY ENERGY LEVEL: Reasonably low. I like walks, but I *love* naps! I do get the zoomies every now and then - especially after a bath - but I'm better known for my championship-level ability to sleep for hours on end! MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm looking for a child-free home. MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I get on quite well with other dogs, but cats are another story! Ideally, I'd prefer to have you all to myself :) *In foster care in Maroubra, Sydney*

Joe and Pam are available for adoption as a bonded pair. Joe is 10 in June and Pam is 7 in October. They've been together a long time and it would be a shame to split them up now that they need a new forever home. We believe they are English Staffies although we have no paperwork to prove it. They've both had a bit of a rough time lately and are currently being treated for heartworm. Their course of treatment will be completed soon and they're doing very well. We expect a full recovery. Pam and Joe have had a tough life and have a few scares as a result. We are looking for a loving and caring home for them so they can see out their lives in a comfortable and caring, friendly home. Pam loves chewing bones and carrying her squeaking toy. She also loves grooming Joe. They are both cruzy, easy going dogs that get on well with other dogs but prefer to be together. All their vetwork has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, worm and flea treatment. They are in foster care in Cairns so, If you're interested in adopting this beautiful pair please email email@example.com. BIN 0000171254640

Hi! I’m Victorious and if you adopt me, you’ll know be the one who’s a winner! I’m a sweet and outgoing boy and I’m certainly not shy about letting you know when I want a pat!! When I’m not asking for pats, I like to enjoy the simple pleasures in life – snoozing, snacking and don’t forget the squeaky toys! While I don’t mind other dogs, I love being the centre of attention, so I’m happy being on my own for now. Just none of those small-fluffy things they call dogs, they cramp my style.
Meet Jemima! Jemima is a sweet and loving lady who was surrendered to the RSPCA through no fault of her own. Jemima has only been at the shelter a short time but has stolen the hearts of the staff, but she can’t wait to find her forever home and a family that’ll love her unconditionally. When Jemima was surrendered to the RSPCA she wasn’t alone. Her long-time companion Jerry was surrendered with her. It’s always a big task taking on two new dogs, but if there is a family out there that’s looking for two little cuties to make their family whole then these two would love to stay together. She had no interest in other dogs whilst here at the shelter and would much prefer to go to a home where she is the only dog or with her friend Jerry. Jemima can’t wait to go for daily strolls around the neighbourhood, have regular grooming sessions and to just be included in the family’s day to day life. She would also love to have her own spot inside close to her family where she will be able soak up all their love and attention. If you think Jemima is the missing piece to your family, then please head on down and speak to one of our friendly staff members today. -Bonded Pair: Must go home with Jerry 089 1413. -Must be only dogs -STV: Dental (r/c 8.4.19)
Hi I'm Sasha! 🖐 I am a beautiful medium size staffy mix- 🐾 I have been learning some manners lately, like to walk on my lead with out pulling, to wait untill im told to eat my meals and my recall is getting much better! 💕 I love to cuddle up with my humans, but I also love most other dogs company. I do prefer male dog company but can be with females if im supervised to start with. 🐶 I am still young and full of energy so a active and stimulating home is best for me with older children or children already familiar with a medium to large size. I'm sure the right family is out there for me! Please just come and throw the ball a few times for me, i bet we will get along ❤
A naturally loving and affectionate young boy, he adores pats, cuddles and romping in the park with his trusted human (and canine) companions. Still growing into his long legs, he can be a bit of a goofball as he trots around the yard behind you or expresses his excitement when it\'s time for walkies! Like all Maggie\'s pets, Bosco is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated. **We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-dogs. Please use this link rather than the \'Enquire\' button on the pet\'s PetRescue profile.** MY IDEAL HOME: If you\'ve got the time, space and heart to provide plenty of attention and interaction, and one daily walk at least, I\'ll be so delighted! A medium to large backyard would be perfect as I love to run, jump and play in the sun. A home with another awesome dog to keep me company and be my best buddy (aside from you, of course!) would be amazing, as I really come into my own around a friendly playmate. MY ENERGY LEVEL: Medium to high! My breed mix requires lots of daily activity to keep me healthy, happy and entertained. Come evening, I\'ll enjoy nothing better than curling up with you on the sofa or bed. MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I love kids of all ages but will be best suited to a home with older children. MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Other dogs are fantastic fun! I might be a bit shy with unfamiliar pups at first, but the lure of playtime and wrestling always wins me over. Unfortunately I won\'t be a good match for a home with resident cats. *In foster care in Marrickville, NSW*
Nharla was born approximately 18.01.19. Please don't ask "what breed is she?" because we simply don't know, so she is registered as a mixed breed. All her vetwork will be done soon before she goes to a new home and includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, worm and flea treatment. For now we are taking expressions of interest with possible pre-adoption orders. She is in foster care in Cairns so, If you're interested in adopting this beautiful girl please email firstname.lastname@example.org. BIN 0000171254640
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Athena was born approx 17.09.15. She has had a rough trot in her 3 years, having raised at least 2 litters in the streets. Her first litter (with only one survivor), Athena was strong enough to drag the hefty kitten up over a concrete ledge to safety in the heavy wet. A few months later she re-appeared with 2 new kittens in toe. She was a lot weaker with two kittens and subsequently easier to catch. Athena settled into home life with no trouble; she knew exactly what a litter box was for, exactly where the food was kept and exactly what beds are for. This brave little girl has done a great job of raising her kits but she really wants a nice quiet life. Athena likes to be the dominate personality in the house and will fight for that position with other cats, but she loves pats and actively seeks you out for attention. Athena isn’t an overly active girl, happily playing with her toys for a few minutes at a time and she much prefers a comfortable place to perch and preen. Athena would fit right in somewhere she can be the lady of the manor. Unfortunately she doesn't like young children. She will hide when they scream but, she’s very tolerant in all other areas (storms, fireworks etc). All her vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, flea and worm treatment and she has tested negative to FIV. She is In foster care in Atherton. If you're interested in adopting this beautiful girl, please email email@example.com
ANGEL - ID 12183 - DSH - FEMALE - DOB 19/09/2014. Angel has been with us for just over 3 years that's a whopping 1,100 days. Way too long for this black beauty. Angel is a little shy when it comes to a lot of noise so would like the quiet life. If someone could just give her a chance at showing her true personality she will reward you with purrs for life.
Hi, my name is Earl…. Earl Grey, that is! Despite my fancy title, I don’t come with a bit list of demands, my needs are pretty simple really. A warm bed, abundant toys, and a backyard for me to stretch my legs. I’m a happy boy who’s definitely not shy about asking for a pat when I want one. I like kids and get along well with other greyhounds, I’m just not much of a fan of those small-fluffy things they call dogs so none of those please!

Introducing Hercules - a 9 year old Siberian Husky with a God's name who thinks he is a pussy cat. Hercules is a real shmoocher - he loves being with people and isn't shy about making new friends or asking them for cuddles. Hercules is an energetic and playful boy who belies his age - he is proof that seniors know how to party too. He loves toys and balls and will entertain himself playing with them - he would love a yard where he can run around playing with his toys and then have a snooze in the shade. Hercules loves walking and is a talker - he will happily chat to you about his day. He can tug on lead in his excitement to go on an adventure but he isn't overly strong. He has some basic training - he sits and drops for a treat and then trots to you for a pat when he selectively forgets to stay! Hercules is a real character who can be a little bossy telling you what he wants but he will have you smitten with him in no time. Hercules is a funny boy who pulls hilarious facial expressions and who thinks the world revolves around him (he is a God after all). He may suit a variety of home environments - an active single or couple, or a home with teenagers who are experienced with big, playful dogs. He can jump up in excitement however he's very gentle and he responds well to rewards to keep all 4 paws on the floor. Hercules is in care with many dogs - he is good socialising with quite a few of them and he'll hang out with up to 20 dogs during the day. He Is an affection hog with humans so it's important for him to be reminded that he has to share and he can't steal the limelight from his canine friends. He would be fine as an only dog or in a home with an existing friendly canine pal. As with most of our arctics we'd recommend a home without cats or pocket pets.

Introducing Howard! This beautiful boy has so much love to give and we think his main goal in life is to make his owners feel like they are the best thing since sliced bread. Howard enjoys cuddling up on the couch with you, snoozing his afternoons away and basically just being incredibly handsome. Although Howard loves a day time nap as much as the next dog don't let the relaxed vibe fool you because he definitely enjoys his daily walks and weekend adventures! He walks very nicely on lead and will happily prance along beside you. Howard loves saying hello to other doggy friends and sometimes cannot contain himself. Howard has been going to doggy daycare a few times a week and he absolutely LOVES its - see photos for proof!! Howard can sometimes find being left alone for long periods of time overwhelming and as such is looking for a home where his family are around more often than not and are able to leave him indoors when they are away. Howard is also toilet trained however accidents may happen once or twice when he first comes home. He also knows how to sit and wait for his food at dinner time. Overall this handsome man will make any family fall straight in love with him and he will make sure to give that love back 10times over! Howard would happily share his home with another doggy friend of similar size and activity level but would not be suitable to a home with smaller pets or cats as he can sometimes become too overexcited. Howard is currently being treated for anxiety with a combination of medication and behaviour modification. As such he is available for FOSTER TO ADOPT, we will provide you with ongoing support to ensure Howard settles into his new home. If you would like to make a difference to a shelter pet in need and find out more about this very special boy please inquire about him today. Howard looks forward to meeting you, woof!

***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Unity was born 28.04.18 along with six siblings. The whole family were surrendered to Cairns Pound when the bubs were only a few weeks old. Mum was struggling to support herself and her babies but they all survived with the help of humans and another mum with only 3 babies of her own. All the kittens are friendly, playful and adorable. Unity is one of the bigger, more confident ones and she's great fun to play with. We're calling for expressions of interest only at this stage as she hasn't seen our vet or been desexed yet. We expect she'll be ready for her new home in a week or so. If you'd like to know more about adopting this kitty, please email firstname.lastname@example.org

Hi, I’m Muriel and there’s nothing terrible about me! I can be a wee little bit shy, which means I’m not much of a city slicker and would prefer to spend my days in a nice, quiet suburb. Also, if you have a chilled out big-dog brother for me, I’d be OK with that – they can be my security blanket! I am the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet, so what do you say?
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Bambi was born 01.09.18 approx. When she was just a tiny tot weighing 500 grams, she was found on the street. But she wasn't a weak little kitty. She ran up to the strangers meowing and begging and, from the moment she came into care, she was eating solids just like the older kittens. How did such a tiny kitten survive. Well she is a tough little girl and an absolute delight to have around. She's very bright, playful and full of mischief but she will come to you late in the evening for a lap to fall asleep on. She plays well with the older cats too, so would probably suit any home with other pets and older children. All her vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccination, flea and worm treatment. She is in foster care in Millaa Millaa. If you're interested in adopting this quirky baby girl, please email email@example.com
Hi there friends! My name is Buddy, can I come home with you? Are you in the market for a new best friend? Well I've been told I am perfect side kick material so look no further. Some people would describe me as a baby giraffe, I'm all legs and sometimes have no control over them. I try to keep them all on the floor but sometimes I just can't help myself and forget. I love snuggling and will try my very hardest to curl up on your lap but for some reason I never quite seem to fit, I don't really understand why. I am a slow walker I prefer to take in all the sights and smells at a gentle pace. BUT if you let me off lead I'm as fast as the speed of light, most dogs can never catch me! I would do best in a quiet home with adults only or older children. I would love another large doggy friend to play with.
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY*** Grant was born 21.02.19. Just a tiny little kitten, he found himself in the pound, which is no place for a baby, so he did his stray time in care with the wonderful Fleur and her five kittens. They accepted him immediately as though he had been with them since birth and, since no one claimed him, he is now available for adoption. Grant is a shy little boy but he's coming around and getting braver with care and love. His markings are spectacular and we were tempted to call him Tiger, as you do , but he was "granted" a second chance at having a mummy cat and a family to grow up with thanks to the caring staff at TRC, so Grant it is. He is in foster care in Millaa Millaa and will be available for adoption when all his vetwork is done which will include desexing, microchip, vaccination, flea and worm treatment. If you're interested in adopting this baby boy, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Jamie's details: Age: 4 months Date of birth: 17/11/2018 Desexed: Yes Heart worm treated: Vaccinated: true Wormed: true State: Postcode: 2203 About Jamie: A full-on purring machine who's totally in his element while racing through the hallways or helping his foster mum with her work, Jamie spends his occasional moments of downtime curled up in the nearest box or container - the smaller the better! The nearest chest, lap or tummy will do just fine too :) This gorgeous little guy isn't afraid of anything - thunderstorms and vacuum cleaners included! He's going to make one lucky person, couple or family very happy indeed. Like all Maggie's pets, Jamie is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated. **We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-cats. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile.** MY IDEAL HOME: ... will let me be myself! I'm a chatty boy with a big purrsonality and love to get myself involved in everything you're up to, so I hope you're ready! Ideally I'll be allowed some outdoor access too. A secure enclosure or courtyard - maybe even the occasional leashed walk? - would be wonderful! MY ENERGY LEVEL: Sky-high! I love to romp, play and chase other cats, when they'll let me. MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I've met several pint-sized people and they were pretty cool! MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I think I'd get on just fine with your friendly feline - as long as they like to play! Though I haven't met any dogs yet, my foster mum reckons I'm like a puppy in cat form - so I'm definitely down for meeting your pooch and seeing if the chemistry's there! *In foster care in Dulwich Hill, Sydney* Adoption process: We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://www.maggiesrescue.org/adoption-enquiry-cats. Your pet is a Maggie's Pet for Life, please consider this before adopting
Breed: Whippet x Age: 2-3 months Sex: Male Size: small Location: Wallsend Adoption Fee: $450 Number: 19096 All About Me and My Unique Personality: Ollo, I'm Mike, I'm whippet x so I believe I'm super fast. I'm a bit of a bachelor rolling with my peeps, but in every puppies life there comes a time when a forever home is all I want. I'm ready to settle down with a person, couple or family and live in domestic bliss. I'm very tidy, I like a clean house. That's why I use puppy pads well and if you stick with me I will go outside before bed every night. I'm a thinker, I like to ponder on the meaning of life. So far I have established it means food and possibly other food. I do feel like there is more food out there, but I'll ponder on that. My foster mum says I'm a very clever boy, she is always so impressed when I wee in the right places. I drink a lot of water so I can make her happy. My Ideal Home: Preferably people who have a background in food preparation. I love food. Also I prefer gentle training as I'm quite intelligent. If you have an interesting hobby or musical ability I think we would get on well. I'm a fan of classical music, however, don't tell anyone but I have been known to bop along to country... I like to be inside at night, I'm still small. Don't worry I'm very easy to train and I will love you so much anything is possible. What is Known About My Background: Mike was part of a lost litter saved by our HARs rescuers. Now he lives in Wallsend and wonders every day how he got here. Mike is a very sweet little boy. He can be a loner and just amuse himself for hours or cuddle up to you and chew on his toy. Not much bothers Mike. He lives with his foster sister who is a staffy x. They play all day, until he hides from her to get some alone time. Mike is very very clever. Training is going well for Mike. He works out what you want quickly and with gentle encouragement he responds successfully and consistently. How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Not sure about children, Mike is teething so wants to chew all the time. Great with his foster sister Stella the staffy x. Unsure about cats.
***INDOOR ONLY KITTY *** Buddy was born approx August 2016 and came into the pound as a stray. All the staff were so captured by his beautiful nature that when his stray time was up and no one had claimed him, he was put into their rehoming program, which brought him to us. Buddy loves everyone, including all other cats and that might be why he is now FIV positive. He obviously smooched up to an FIV tom who didn't appreciate his affection. FIV doesn't have to be a death sentence, but it does mean that to ensure a long, happy life he needs to be kept indoors only where he can't be coming into contact with cats that might be carrying other diseases, as his weakened immune system makes him vulnerable. He'll need to be kept on a very healthy raw diet to protect his immune system as much as possible but generally shouldn't need medication and can live a long life. He doesn't necessarily need a cat free home either, just to live with cats who don't fight and so not infect them. He's not a fighter He shares his food with other friendly cats and just turns his back and walks away from any challenge. If anything, he is TOO friendly and trusting. He loves attention and will make a lovely companion. All his vet work has been done and includes desexing, microchip, vaccinations, flea and worm treatment. Meet and greet in Millaa Millaa. If you'd like to know more about adopting an FIV kitty, please email email@example.com
RACHEL - ID 13806 - DSH - FEMALE - DOB 24/11/2017. I'm a bit frightened of loud noises, but if you hold me close I will purr and purr and I love belly rubs. I think I'd like to be in a quiet house so I can be number one. So I'm all ready to meet my new person who will hold me close when I need it. UPDATE........IT's been a whole year now and I'm still waiting.
I'm a happy bouncy girl in search for my forever home. I am looking for a family that will take me on beach outings because I love water! I know how to sit & stay and I sit nicely for you to put the harness on. Sometimes when I'm super excited I forget my manners and it takes me a couple of minutes to calm. I'm enjoy socialising with other dogs but I am picky in choosing my friends. If you're looking for an exercise companion, I'm your girl!
MAPLE - ID 14163 - DMH - FEMALE - DOB 14/09/2017. This little girl came to us as a stray with her 4 beautiful kittens that were snapped up super quick. Such a beautiful coloured young cat that is enjoying being kitten free, (no more babies for this girl). Can you give this girl the forever home she deserves?
Hello there I’m the playful pup Rex. I came into the shelter as a stray and unfortunately my family never came looking for me. Now I’m on the lookout for my fur-ever family could that be with you. I am a very playful pup with loads of energy. An active household would best suit me. I need a family who will take me for daily walks and keep me fit and healthy. I am a very smart boy and I already know how to sit and I walk really well on lead. Sometimes I get excited and forget my manners. I hope my new family can help with my ongoing training so I grow into a well behaved boy. I have met a few dogs during my time here at the shelter and I even made a friend that I get to go and play with. If you have a doggy friend at home already, bring them in to do a dog introduction to make sure we can be the best of friends before I go home with you. I am a staffy and we staffy’s are known for being really smart, active dogs. To keep my mind busy and to stop me getting into mischief please make sure I have lots of fun toys and tasty treats like meaty bones and Kong toys to keep me entertained. I would love it if my new family has a really big yard for me to run and play in. With nice high fencing to keep me safe and secure would be the best. If you think you can give me a paw-some home come in and say hi. Level 2 * Must meet all dogs. * On going training. MUST STAY FOR DESEX 2.4.19
Hi there, I’m Falcon and I’m just a youngin’ at 3 years old. This means I’d love a bit of space to stretch my legs and work on my zoomies. So I’d really love it if my forever home had a nice back yard for me! I’m a happy boy that’s always happy to make new human friends, I’m just not so keen on meeting those little dogs – I think they’re a bit pesky!
Hi there, I’m Sundae. Like my name, I’m a sweet boy looking for my forever couch. You see, I’m quite timid and will need an extra special family who will take the time to gently and patiently bring me out of my shell. I’m a little bit unsure of this big wide world so I like to take my time to get used to new people and situations. I’d love a quiet home with a friendly female doggy friend who’s braver than me, and can help show me the ropes of this pet life.
Hi, I’m Jordy! I’m a big loveable guy with a BIG loveable personality! I’m a goofy athletic type looking for someone who likes to zoom about as much as I do. I loooove toys, showing off, having fun, and any bit of excitement really. I’d best be suited to a home without anything small and fluffy and older kiddies only (it’s not that I don’t like little tots but I get so excited so I might knock them over). If you’re looking for a four-legged personal trainer, I might be your guy! I just love getting out and about to stretch my legs – I’ll have you fit in no time!
Meet our sensational 5 year old twins Thor and Aura. This inseparable Siberian Husky brother and sister pair are just adorable - it is easy to fall in love with their friendly natures and beaming smiles. Thor and Aura love people and are confident when making new friends. They are extremely dog social and often help new foster dogs feel at ease when they first come into foster care. They are in care with over 100 dogs and they enjoy spending their days playing with approximately 20 doggy pals in the boarding facility "Party Run". Thor loves to play with balls and Aura loves to paddle in water buckets or a paddle pool. They'd enjoy a yard to trot around in and explore - once they've worn themselves out they will snooze the day away together. Thor and Aura will thrive in a home where they are inside whenever their family is home - they are so human focused that they love to be involved in whatever you are doing. If you live in a dog friendly neighbourhood then they will happily join you at cafes and dog beaches or parks. Thor is a total smoocher who will climb onto your lap for cuddles and Aura isn't far behind. When Aura asks for a hug (she loves to be carried like a baby) then Thor joins in on the action too - as with human twins this gorgeous pair want to do everything together. They are so in tune with each other that they will cry out to be reunited if they are too far away from each other. Thor and Aura are so easy-going that they may suit a variety of different family environments. They may suit a couple or single person who is after a bonded pair, or a family with older kids or teenagers who are confident with medium sized dogs. Thor and Aura are totally divine siblings, so if you are looking for a perfect pair of affectionate fluffballs then please contact us about this gorgeous duo.
VINNIE - ID 14082 - DSH - MALE - DOB 01/01/2018. I was surrendered to the shelter with my sister and brother. My owners thought I was a girl but closer inspection showed that I was a boy. I'm still a little shy because this is all new to me. But I'm going to be okay in a loving home. Hope It comes along soon.
Hello! I’m Vera and I’m a sweet girl on the lookout for a chilled out home to settle down in. I would love a family who would let me live quietly with plenty of long naps, short walks, tasty treats, a nice big yard aaaand maybe you have a nice comfy couch for me to share (hint hint)? I really love being the centre of attention, which means I am not really into being distracted by small dogs or tiny humans…. can you blame me though? It means more attention for me!
Breed: Staffy x Age: 7 months Sex: Male Size: medium Location: Adamstown NSW Adoption Fee: $450 Number: 19079 All About Me and My Unique Personality: Koda is very much a staffy at heart- he loves people and other dogs- nothing is better than a good tumble about the park! In saying that he is also nice and gentle with my miniature dachshund. Koda will love you and want to be with you constantly, he is always waiting for me outside the bathroom door while i shower or in the yard for when I get home. He is very energetic and needs runs at least every day but settles quickly and will sleep throughout the day and is quite food orientated. Koda will be a fantastic and loyal dog for someone who has time to ensure he is well exercised and looked after. My Ideal Home: Big backyard- preferably with a friend (of the dog type). How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets: Tends to ignore children but not a whole lot of experience with them. Loves other dogs- rough play but is gentle with little ones as well. He has been very well behaved around rabbits and cats.
Introducing the beautiful Miss Jamie. Jamie came to us in a very sad state, but with a lot of love and care from her foster family, she is now looking for a gentle and quiet forever home of her own. Jamie is a sweetheart, and even though she has had a sad past, she is ready to continue her journey, learning to trust, love and be part of a wonderful family. Her ideal owners will help Jamie with further socialisation, confidence, and of course shower her with the affection she so enjoys. If you think you can offer Jamie a wonderful new life, we would love to hear from you.
Roxy is a fun dog with some great basic behaviours who will blossom with someone dedicated to continuing her training and who is willing to make her part of the family. Roxy enjoys spending time with people and can get excited in new environment or with lots of pats and attention. She prefers a few pats and to hang with you, helping you do whatever is on your schedule for the day. Roxy has been able to learn new behaviours here and we are currently working n improving her leash walking. She can be a little erratic on leash but is learning that good things happen when you stay close to your person. She will need some work on socialisation because she gets very excited around other dogs which can cause her to greet them in an inappropriate way. She is doing well learning to point dogs out to her handler for a yummy treat. She loves to play with toys with or without a human on the other end of the toy. Her ideal home would be one where there are no other dogs and someone home a lot with time to dedicate to ongoing training. If that sounds like you, don't wast a second. Come and meet this pretty today! RSA No other dogs Prefer someone home a lot

Hi, I’m Matty and I come with my ears already packed up and ready to go! I’m a handsome, affectionate guy looking for my forever home… or I should say LISTENING for my forever home – nobody has ears quite like mine! I’ve had a bit of a rough start in life, but I’m more than making up for it now at GR HQ… I’m absolutely lapping up all of this new attention! I can be a bit shy with new things at first, but that’s because I’m just starting to learn about this big wide world. A note from Matty’s foster carer: Matty loves going for walks and being outside, even if it’s raining! Although he’s doing fine in our unit, I think it would be better for him to be in a home with access to a small yard as he’s on the more energetic side of the greyhound spectrum. Since he’ve been in foster, we’ve found him very companionable. He’s also very curious about humans and their home. He’s ready to learn all of the new house rules and he learns very quickly. Matty is very good natured and tolerant and hasn’t been aggressive at all. He is also totally unbothered by noisy environments or sounds. His ‘helicopter tail’ is very cute and of course there’s his wacky ears! Got room for me and my ears at your place? Get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org DOB: 15.04.2013 Located in: Sydney Desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and treated Adoption cost: $350 Cats: Not tested Other Dogs: Other dog tolerant, not small dog friendly Children: Not tested

BORIS - ID 14045 - DSH - MALE - DOB 07/12/2017. I came to the shelter as a stray. I am a very friendly little black young cat. The big boys seem like giants beside me, but I have a big purr that compensates for my size. I am ready for a life full of play in my forever home so hope it comes soon.
Hi my name is Fernando but my friends call me Nando! I'm a big goofball and I just love being silly and making everyone laugh! I love making new four legged friends and my ideal home would be one with another young, playful, easy going dog like me! It might be hard to believe but I even try to make friends with cats.. I'm yet to find a cat that likes me but I'll keep trying. I may be huge but I've got "doggy manners" down to a tea! I'll walk nicely beside you on lead, I know how to sit, drop and go to my bed. The sky is the limit when it comes to things I could learn! I would love for my new family to be interested in taking me to ongoing training using positive reinforcement techniques. I mean who doesn't enjoy being rewarded for doing the right thing! The humans keep telling me I'm not a lap dog but that doesn't stop me from trying! I love snuggling up on the couch with you or even on your bed if you'd let me... I don't take up much room, honestly! My new home will need to be one where I can be allowed indoors while my humans are out and ideally my family will work part time or from home. I can be a little unsure of being left alone for long periods of time however I am getting MUCH better and with patience I will continue to get more comfortable with this. Fernando is being treated for an anxiety disorder with medication and behaviour training. Our adoptions team will discuss this with potential adopters during the meet and greet.

Mia's animated face, captivating eyes, and 'dancing' feet are a truly adorable sight as you approach her kennel. Can you imagine coming home to such an enthusiastic greeting? Mia is looking for a kind and loyal companion, someone with a bit of dog experience who understands that, while she is engaging and confident behind the kennel door, she can be a little shy with strangers out in the big wide world. Mia will need a guardian who can devote time to training that will help her grow her confidence in new environments, meeting new people. Being able to read her body language will be pivotal to understanding when Mia is, and is not, comfortable in a situation, so Mia's potential new family will need to speak with our behaviour team before she can go home. Mia's ideal new life will include a mature family (that is, no children under 15yrs please) with plenty of time for adventure and training. Mia has some great basic skills already and loves treats, so adding to her repertoire of tricks should be a breeze! Mia would benefit from an inside/outside lifestyle so that she can soak up as much human time as possible. Not being very fond of other dogs (they can be quite scary!), Mia would also like to be the only pet in her new home. If you feel you could provide a secure and loving home for a girl like Mia, we would love for you to meet her here at Kemps Creek shelter; for more information about Mia you can reach us on 8899 3333 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi, Meet Koby, the exceptional doggie! Don’t let my little woof alarm you, this is how I greet people when I first meet them as I can be a little shy, but once you get to know me I am a sweet young man with a lot of love to give. Since being in a shelter environment, I’ve been exposed to lots of new things like new people, lots of new doggie friends and learning new training tricks like how to sit, stay on command and heel to left. My confidence levels are still growing when meeting new people so I’ll need an owner that can be patient with me and introduce me to new people slowly and at my own pace. Because loud noises and sudden movements can startle me, I am best suited to a home with no smaller children so I can learn to continually grow my confidence levels. I’m very dog social and I love making new friends, so if you do have another dog at home please bring them in to meet with me so we can ensure that we will be the very best of friends. One of my favourite things to do is run around in the water, I love playing in my shell pool and I enjoy a good game of fetch. I’ll need an owner that will exercise me daily and will be interested in a companion dog for life. If I sound like the ideal dog for you, please enquire today via email: email@example.com about how you can organise a meet and greet with me. You will receive an automated reply with a questionnaire to complete, so please be sure to check your spam folder. Patiently waiting, love from Koby xxx No kids under 12yrs Must meet all family/dogs Experienced owner

Elmo is a giant goofball that wins the heart of everyone he meets! He is so full of love and is looking for a forever family that can take him by the paw and show him how amazing life can be. Elmo has been spending time in foster care where he has flourished. He loves learning new things and has already mastered many tricks such as sit, drop, shake a paw, stay, go to bed and is learning to drop his toys. Elmo would love a home where his new family share in his interest for training and he learns best when you use positive reinforcement methods because who doesn't love being rewarded for doing the right thing! If you like to go for lots of fun car trips then Elmo is your guy, he loves sticking his head out the window looking at all the world has to offer him. Elmo can sometimes be a little worried when left alone for long periods of time and his new owners will need to continue to build on this. He would benefit from a home where his humans are home more often than not. Elmo's foster mum describes him as very unique and special boy that you cant help but love. His goofball nature and puppy personality will keep you laughing for hours. He is best friend material and loves to play fetch and be chased around outside. He loves to carry his teddy around in his mouth when you come home. Once the lights are off he knows its sleep time, he sleeps in the funniest positions ever. Elmo would love to live with another large playful dog friend and would be best suited to a home without any small animals as he can easily forget how big he is. Elmo will need a home with Adults Only.

The family that adopts her will have endless hours of love from her and laughter from all her crazy antics. Bonnie comes with a session with a trainer from Bond and Beyond where she has had one on one training to introduce her to the big world outside the rescue
Meet Grace & Frankie! Oooooops…Bubby & Maria….a couple of golden oldies on the look out for a place to retire. Unlike G & F, these old girls are after a quiet/calm household to suit their gentle, laid back nature. They also prefer the company of mature humans to match them. Their perfect home would include daily walks, a place where they can soak up the sun and perhaps someone to cuddle up to on those particularly cold evenings. They’re a couple low maintenance gals, with very sweet personalities. Maria’s the head honcho with the confidence to match and Bubby’s her lil’ side kick who takes her time to get to know people. Once she does, her heart is yours. These two would do best with an experienced owner due to Bubby’s low confidence levels; being able to recognise the signs of a fearful/uncomfortable dog and how to deal with this quickly and effectively. Bubby and Maria prefer each other’s company and are quite aloof with other dogs around them. They’re looking to be the only dogs in their new home as they’d prefer the attention all to themselves. If you think you could offer these girls a place to enjoy their twilight years, where love and cuddles are infinite, please come on down for a meet and greet today! -Level 2 ART -BONDED PAIR -Quiet/calm household -No children under 12yrs -Must be only dogs (Must go home with Maria) -Experienced owner -STV: Eyes, Ears, Beh Meds
Hi there, I’m Clancy – the happiest boy you’ll ever meet! I’m currently available for interviews for the role of being your best friend ever! I’m a chipper and outgoing boy that absolutely loves hanging out with people – I’m certainly not shy when it comes asking for a pat or three. When it comes to other dogs, I prefer the company of the ladies… I’m still learning my manners around those small fluffy things (I think they’re dogs too?) so best I don’t go to a home with one of those. Oh, I should tell you too, I love food and squeaky toys and food (just in case you missed the part about the food).
Family I might be shy with children at first and I like other cats too! Personality I'm cuddly, affectionate, Playful, active, Shy, quiet, I love treats!, I'm a big softie! everything you want in a cat, well thats me. Health I am in purr-fect health More Info My adoption fee covers me being vet checked, desexed, microchipped, up to date with my vaccinations, wormed and flea treated!
Hi there, I’m Ezra. I wasn’t in the best shape when I arrived here at GR HQ but thanks to lots of TLC from the lovely volunteers I’m doing so much better! I’m quite a joyful boy who loves to play and hang around people. It really hasn’t taken me long to discover the simple pleasures in life – snacking, snoozing and squeaky toys! I’d love a caring and patient home that understands all of these new things and the big wide world is all very new to me.
JETT 2 - ID 13909 - DSH - MALE - DOB 19/02/2018. My sisters have already found their forever homes so I think it is my turn now. I have very sleek black fur and a loud purr when I'm happy. I've been at the shelter 3 loooong months but I would prefer to be with a family that will love to play and cuddle me. I hope that happens very soon.
Affectionate & playful Large Male Mastiff x Staffy Mix Dog This handsome little boy will melt your heart ❤️️ Cleveland is in foster care with his sibling, Portland and 2 host dogs, all of which he gets along well with. Cleveland is your typical active, playful pup. He loves to explore everything in the garden and play with his toys and furry friends. He is a soft hearted baby who is amazing with all sized animals and humans. He will follow you around the house just for a cuddle! He has a beautiful, friendly yet mischievious nature! Cleveland is being socialised with young children on a daily basis and is learning basic commands. He is crate trained and toilet training is well underway. With ongoing training in his new home, Cleveland will grow up to be a loyal, well mannered young man. We believe that he would be best suited to a home with another dog and/or the company of his humans. We are looking for a family or person who is willing to put in the time and effort with training and socialisation for Cleveland. Someone who understands the needs of both a Mastiff and a Staffy, who has experience with these breeds and is looking for a medium to large dog would be ideal. He will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we are sure that he will grow up to be an extremely loyal, well mannered family member. We would love to help get you started with training, so our amazing supporters, Best Friends - Erina, have kindly offered to include a 5 week Puppy training course with all of our Puppy adoptions (up to 16wks of age)....The Best Friends Puppy Pre-School service is a fun and interactive five-week training course that covers puppy behaviours, diet, health, grooming, exercise and play, with an emphasis on socialisation, command training, health and care. Their aim is to teach you positive ways to train your puppy in basic skills such as ‘sit’, ‘drop’, ‘stay’, and how to walk well on a lead, but also how to control your puppy’s not so desirable behaviours like toileting inside, biting, mouthing and separation anxiety. Cleveland is located in Wamberal, on the Central Coast, NSW. His vet work is now complete and he\'s ready to find his forever home.
Introducing Stella, turning 4 this year, female Staffy x Ridgeback. Stella is a sweet girl and is referred to as 'nanny'. She is being re homed through no fault of her own - unfortunately a change in her owners circumstances. Stella loves to chase flies and bugs and is a big teddy bear and still acts like a big baby. She loves dinner time and is food motivated/ orientated. She loves hugs and naps and gets quite excited when she sees her bed. Stella also loves playing with toys and her sister. Stella has not been around children nor other animals other than her sister and mother (whom she shares her yard with).
Hello! I’m Shelby and I’m a fun-loving girl with plenty of personality! I’m a bit of a fitness enthusiast, who’s always excited to get out and about. I would love a home with loads of toys to play with and a backyard to stretch my legs so I can do a zoomie or two. I’d do best in a family without really young kiddies (just because I get a bit excited) and with no small-fluffy dogs… but if you’ve got a big dog friend for me, that’ would be just greyt!
This sweet natured, long legged handsome boy is on the search for his Forever home....Deagan is a mix of Great Dane x Mastiff and one affectionate little boy. His foster home consists of 3 host dogs (small and large), cats, birds, young children visiting regularly, and of course his foster mum. He is learning the routine and follows simple instructions well. Deagan will sit on command, walks well on lead and working hard at toilet training. With consistency and effort, he will have this perfected in no time. Deagan enjoys rumbling with his host buddies, playing with his toys and pleasing his humans. He loves his brisket bones and enjoys sleeping in his crate at night. Due to Deagan's size/breed, we will be allowing him to be re-homed under a desex agreement. This will mean that Deagan must be returned to one of our approved vets on the Central Coast for desexing, no later than 12th June 2019 (6 months old). We have consulted a number of vets who have all confirmed this is an appropriate age for the breed/size. For this reason, there will be no interstate adoptions and we will be ideally looking for a home on the Central Coast. As with all our pups, we strongly recommend enrolling in Puppy school. Deagan will need continued socialisation with other dogs during the puppy stage and into adulthood, as well as ongoing training so that he grows up to be a well mannered and socialised boy. We believe that he will be a large dog when fully grown. He is a beautiful natured puppy, and given the right environment we’re sure he will grow to be an extremely loyal, well mannered adult. Deagan would be best suited to a home where he had the company of his humans or another doggie companion. He will need a medium to large yard with secure height appropriate fencing. Due to his size, we would recommend children over the age of 8 years. Deagan is located in Bateau Bay, on the Central Coast NSW and looking forward to meeting you!
